Angelina Jackson

Medical Scientist - Royal Hobart Hospital

“What I am particularly proud of is knowing what I do helps people. Having knowledge to
potentially save a life is what I am proud of.”

Angelina Jackson is a medical scientist in Microbiology at the Royal Hobart Hospital. She looks for infections in humans (bacterial, fungal, viral and parasitic) and tests for appropriate treatment options. Organisms are always evolving ways to thwart our treatments, so her work helps us to stay one step ahead! When she doesn’t have a lab coat on, you’ll find Angelina on the footy oval playing for the Tasmania University Football Club or going for a bushwalk in the Tasmanian wilderness.
