Dr Anna Wrobel
Lecturer - Environmental engineering, University of Tasmania
"I like being put in a place where I have to adapt and include new things in my work with the different activities I do."
As a working full-time mother, Anna Wrobel thinks it's important to find time for herself. When she isn’t lecturing students in environmental engineering at UTAS, she enjoys spending as much time as she can outdoors, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and hiking. She recently kayaked around the zinc works at night and is amazed at the industrial beauty that can be found there in the evening, despite the pollution. Anna is particularly interested in urban metabolism, biochar, stormwater management as well as microplastics.
