Claudia Hird

Masters Candidate - IMAS, University of Tasmania

"I am proud of getting to where I am, because women in the past haven’t been able to get where we are as easily as we can today."

Claudia is a Masters Student at IMAS, UTAS with an interest in chemistry, climatology and atmospheric sciences. She is planning to start a PhD in 2023 and hopes to study ice cores with the Australian Antarctic Division. She is interested in social sciences and how Australians interact with their environment. Claudia is passionate and proud to be a woman in STEMM and enjoys identifying with her femininity whilst working in a male dominated field.
