Kylie Veale

Environmental Principle - NyrStar

"What I love most about working in STEM is without a doubt the diversity of the work."

Raised in country Victoria, Kylie moved to Melbourne at 17 to study Environmental Science. On graduating from University, she worked as an environmental consultant in Melbourne for four years, before moving to the Northern Territory to work in the mining industry. During her five years there, Kylie became the Environment Superintendent, building up and leading a team of six environmental professionals. After five years in the NT, Kylie decided to take two years off to travel. On returning to Australia, she accepted a role leading a team of environmental professionals at the Zinc Works site in Hobart.
