Dr Nicole Hill

Senior Lecturer - IMAS, University of Tasmania

"I love learning, and that’s something you never stop doing. There’s always something new to learn, discover and challenge yourself with."

Nicole grew up in Sydney and was always fascinated by the ocean and knew from a young age she wanted to work in marine science. She has modelled and mapped Australian temperate reef biodiversity and used tools such as Automated Underwater Vehicles to survey and develop monitoring plans for some of Australia’s Marine Parks. More recently she is looking at climate change responses in Southern Ocean and Antarctic marine biodiversity.
