Lillian Stewart

PhD Candidate - IMAS, University of Tasmania

"Science, to me, should be for everyone. When we highlight diversity we come across really amazing people, really amazing stories and create some really amazing opportunities."

Lillian Stewart is a PhD Candidate at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies in Hobart, and when she’s not at her desk, she can be found planning her next garden project or cuddling a pet chicken. Spontaneous outdoor adventures bring her great joy, as does watercolour painting, home-grown produce, surfing and live music. Lillian’s island home lutruwita/Tasmania has blessed her with countless experiences that, from a young age, fostered a passion to protect what she loves. Without a doubt, this led her down the path of environmental science and communication.
